Elected Officials Are Fundamentally Dishonest

To the Editor: This letter was forwarded to Barack Obama, John Boehner, Chris Murphy, Dick Blumenthal, Elizabeth Esty, and Harry Reid I live in Sandy Hook, CT. My family and close friends weren't harmed on December 14. That day impacted 26 families with an indescribable, staggering pain and anguish. For most of Sandy Hook, it merely affected us with an inescapable intensity of sadness and grief. Gun control has long been a focus of many in this country. Though I'm not knowledgeable of all the nuances of the Second Amendment, based on the Founding Fathers' circumstances, it had far more to do with enabling the citizenry to protect themselves against tyrannical government than against local psychopaths. It is about providing a balanced firepower so when King George's successor came knocking on your door, you could fight back. Government today is no less inclined to abuse its authority than it was then. Based on the absurd and ongoing power grab that is present day Washington, it's as threatening as ever. That so many of you view the NRA with its resistance to further restrictions on firearms as intransigent lunatics has far more to do with how you conduct yourselves in office than it does with the NRA's actions. You in public office are fundamentally dishonest people. You lead lives of deception at every turn, structuring your lives as comfortably as you can while governing with an indifference and arrogance that is absolutely maddening. When the country is reeling from financial disaster, you waste a trillion dollars on a health care bill we can't afford and you've never read. You claim it's critical because health care costs are killing this country... no they're not, you are! You are killing this country. You endorse the ongoing slaughter of millions of unborn children and whine when terrorists are water boarded. You can't lecture us right in Newtown High School about not doing enough to keep our children safe, while simultaneously slaughtering the unborn. You fabricate the intense, media laden drama of the fiscal cliff and lack the courage to do anything about truly reforming the obscene gluttony of government. You know you'll be out of office before the bill comes due… you don't care and have no integrity nor honor. You lie whenever and wherever you need to to move forth your agenda. Were you able, you would purge the US of guns… every last gun in the country, if you could. So please forgive Wayne LaPierre and those of us who don't trust you as far as we can spit. You're a dishonest lot, motivated by a distorted worldview. If mass murder prevention were truly your goal, you would welcome armed security wherever needed. It is outrageous that we protect our money with far more firepower than we protect our children. I have never owned a gun, nor wanted to as intensely as right now. This post was written by a very long time Friend of mine, Heck, since High School. His name is Jeff Wiggins and he had a point to make. And I think it is an extremely good one too. Ya might want to pay attention to what he says. Unlike the lies from the POTUS this is all TRUTH. 

"Obama says that we have Afghanistan under control and we can leave early"

..Not the first "LIE" he's told...and it certainly won't be the LAST...

Right now throughout America I'm noticing States are going about repeals and...beefing up Anti-Gun laws...simultaneously...
Here in Florida they are pushing to repeal the "Stand your ground" law...
New York just passed a required "back ground check" to buy 'BULLETS"...? Really?...bullets...
California is about out of ammunition for sale from what I've heard...
Check with family out there and, tell me if I'm mistaken...
Texas is threatening impeachment proceedings if he uses Executive Order to pass Legislation to reduce clip capacities...
The media is whipping just about everyone who still cares into a frenzy..

My point is...all these distractions are doing a couple of things quite successfully...and it's a pattern that's been taking place since he took Office...

First...it has everyone in constant turmoil running from one calamity to the next atrocity instead of keeping their "eye on the ball"...

Second...no one is even talking about the Benghazi Hearings or the Fast & F crime anymore...
HELLO...we had a full blown premeditated terrorist attack against our Country with nothing but a "lie" offered as an explanation by the prez...
HELLO...Guns were sold to foreign criminals that were/still are turned and, used against us by this administration...with nothing but a "lie" offered as an explanation...
Sounds like cut and dried treason to me...

When obummer is silent which he has noticeably been lately...you can bet he's up to no good hammering out details on the next "surprise"...

Don't be "surprised" to hear an announcement about illegal reform
instead of a response to the ferocious gun battle everyone is predicting/speculating is coming...those laws are getting passed while we're waiting on the big uproar...

As in the form of a blanket amnesty program for illegals to become Citizens...criminals or not...
After all we do have to thank somebody for voting on him...
Think I'm kidding...? Watch...

Until folks figure out how to get one step ahead...instead of one behind...better get used to not being able to keep up with all the dismantling of our Nation relentlessly taking place at warp speed...

...I've got to disagree with the notion..."What we need right now more than anything else is a leader"...

IMHO...We need a trial for treason with a swift severe sentence carried out "more than anything else"...and a stern warning to all that remain...We're "fed" up with all the corruption...and demand this Nation be put back on the path she was founded on with extreme prejudice if necessary on the global level...and a timely manner on the National...

Until then we'll continue to grumble about what just happened, instead of preventing whats going to happen...with the next "lie"...

The Night Before Christmas. Santa meets a Marine

'Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,

In a one-bedroom house made of plaster and stone.

I had come down the chimney, with presents to give

and to see just who in this home did live.

As I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,

no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.

No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand.

On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind,

a sobering thought soon came to my mind.

For this house was different, unlike any I’d seen.

This was the home of a U.S. Marine.

I’d heard stories about them, I had to see more,

so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.

And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone,

Curled up on the floor in his one-bedroom home.

He seemed so gentle, his face so serene,

Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine.

Was this the hero, of whom I’d just read?

Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean-shaven, his weathered face tan.

I soon understood, this was more than a man.

For I realized the families that I saw that night,

owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight.

Soon around the Nation, the children would play,

And grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.

They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year,

because of Marines like this one lying here.

I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone,

on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home.

Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye.

I dropped to my knees and I started to cry.

He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice,

“Santa, don’t cry, this life is my choice

I fight for freedom, I don’t ask for more.

My life is my God, my country, my Corps.”

With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep,

I couldn’t control it, I continued to weep.

I watched him for hours, so silent and still.

I noticed he shivered from the cold night’s chill.

So I took off my jacket, the one made of red,

and covered this Marine from his toes to his head.

Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold,

with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold.

And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride,

and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside.

I didn’t want to leave him so quiet in the night,

this guardian of honor so willing to fight.

But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure,

said “Carry on, Santa, it’s Christmas Day, all secure.”

One look at my watch and I knew he was right,

Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight

War on Woman? Who got Bombed?

The so called War on Woman

I want to make a few points on this War on Woman BS. The primary complaint I see is the Contraceptive situation. Now let me think. When I was younger if I was going to have Sex with a Gal we either used a Condom or made sure she was on the pill. Now a days if ya don’t use a condom you’re NUTS. Anyway the Pill was the way my Wife and I handled it. We took my wife to the Dr. and my Insurance took care of the Dr. Visit. Then we marched down to the local Pharmacy and paid the Massive amount of 14 bucks each month to get the pills. WoW. How horrible. No my insurance didn’t cover the Pill. But then I bought a rider for my insurance to cover Prescription Medication. Then it cost me 2 dollars a month for the Pills. Now nothing has changed or is being talked about changing on this method. If your insurance doesn’t cover certain meds then YOU have the opportunity to purchase a rider to cover such or find an insurance company that will. Oh, I almost forgot. A Condom costs about a dollar. So why is it imperative for the Gov. to make laws about getting contraceptives. Go buy it you cheap imbecile. As of now they cost less than 20 bucks a month.  If you buy insurance for your car it doesn’t cover oil changes or preventive maintenance. The Pill and any Contraceptive is Preventative Maintenance. The Gov. should  have no influence on how you handle your own sex life. If ya want to be having Sex then it is the responsibility of the Man and Woman to decide if ya want Safe Sex or not. You woman have Planned Parenthood to give you all kinds of free stuff. (Shouldn’t be Tax payer funded)  You Woman also have 100 or so different ways to get checked for Breast cancer. FREE!!! 100’s of Org. raising money for breast cancer and the medical cost for you Ladies. NOT ONE Org. for a man to get a free Prostate cancer check. NOT ONE!!!  Everywhere I look there is pink Breast cancer awareness things raising money for ya. ????

So please tell me where this war is. Sorry Ladies if ya don’t want to get pregnant than take personal responsibility and handle it, like we have happily for 50 years. It works just fine. The whole problem here is no one wants to take Personal Responsibility for their actions anymore. Someone else is supposed to pay for it. Well ladies, if I want to have sex I purchase a condom. If something goes wrong I take responsibility for it. The Gov. has no reason or business in our personal lives. NONE, for any reason. We as a Country are financially busted. We as Americans should be finding ways to save money not spend it. We will for sure end up with Austerity Rulings just as Europe is in a few short years. Ya better get ready for a lot of other stuff being gone from being BROKE!!!

I watched and listened to people talk about Woman’s Rights before the election. Well, I find that just appalling. Our Country is in Financial Distress. Did anyone of those people give one hoot about that?  HELL NO!!! It was all about them. This War on Woman is nothing but something to complain about. A farce created to scare the woman into believing that the Conservative people are out to get them. Well, I hate to tell you this. We care more about the condition of our Country then we do worrying about someone having a Condom or a Birth control pill. Can’t make you understand that if the Country fails then you won’t get anything anymore. Our debt is beyond our ability to payback. Do we just ignore that, as so many people have? We need to fix the Country first then worry about such trivial crap as contraceptives.

So when they make Contraceptives Illegal or unavailable to responsible Adults, then call me. I will complain too. Until that time, ya need to put your energies elsewhere.
